Leadership Team
A Welcome From Our Principal
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Vance-Providence Elementary School! I am so very proud to be the leader of the school that I attended as a child. It is our mission to help every child feel welcomed, connected, and a part of our Jaguar family. We strive to challenge each student to grow in his or her academic abilities as we build the foundation for them to be ready for the next level. Our staff of highly qualified and dedicated professional educators and support personnel is committed to providing our students with many opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. We invite and encourage students and parents to work in partnership with us to seize opportunities in all facets of our school life. Our school’s motto is "A Team: Focused on Every Child, Every Day.”
One of our goals is to build positive relationships among all stakeholders. As we strive for increased academic success for all students, we know that success is built on a climate and culture of respect, responsibility and collaboration between school and home. We look forward to a very positive and productive year together!
We extend a special, yearlong invitation to our families to join us at school activities and events whenever possible. We want, need, and value your involvement and support in your child’s education! Your active participation is key to the success of our children. It is our goal to work together to transform our learning environment in many positive ways.
Again, we welcome you to VPE and to our wonderful learning community . . . a place alive with a lot of energy, enthusiasm, and a high standard of excellence! It is, indeed, a place where opportunities abound!

I am a proud native of Vance, SC. My educational path includes the schools in the eastern part of Orangeburg County and I started my career as a teacher at Elloree Elementary School. Later, I moved to St. James-Gaillard Elementary where I served as a teacher, Magnet School coordinator, administrative assistant, and Principal. Currently, I serve as the proud principal of my elementary school, VPES. I have had many proud moments as an educator. One of my proudest moments came when I was recognized as a Milken Family Foundation Educator for the state of South Carolina. I have truly enjoyed this journey for the past 24 years and am excited about the next chapter.
